WANTED: WARship is possibly in need of a Bass player. Hi! We are the band WARship. We specialize in Christian Rock, Power Praize and Passionate Worship. We do original music and covers. We have released one album. We play a wide variety of music, as well as some fun secular songs and rewrites, like Uptown Funk, Happy, Hang On Sloopy, Cupid Shuffle, Country Roads Medley, Come Together, etc. We are currently a 5 person band with Angie, Tore', Eric, Colin and Rod and/or Dave. We are all different ages, so age isn’t an issue to us. Talent and ability should be a given, meaning not a beginner at all of this. We’d like you to have some experience under your belt. We’d like you to have a true heart for God and music ministry. We are looking for a long-term commitment and for someone who is self motivated and can work well in a team. We practice every Monday night faithfully in a large open room with plenty of space. We practice at a church in Grove City, Ohio. We have something pretty cool going. Recently, our bassist has been having a tough time with a sick family member. It’s appearing it may be impossible for him to commit at this time. In the meantime, we have a fill in bass player, but it’s temporary as he lives a far distance away. Now would be a perfect time to join and begin learning songs. Message us if interested. We can give you links to our media. Auditions include: 1. Record and send a video audition. We’ve selected 2 songs for this. Chord sheets and vocal notes will be provided. 2. If that goes well, a zoom call with the band follows. 3. If that goes well, an in person meeting with the band for a run through of the 2 songs and a little jam time happens; and then a decision can be made. We try to make this process laid back, fun and less stressful. We’re pretty easy going. So please, don’t let all that hinder you. The process works, especially right now during covid. It may sound more complicated than it is, but I promise, it works if you invest in the process. We’re invested.
