Dedicated and experienced drum player needed for established, all-original Sacramento indie rock band. Influences include Dinosaur Jr, Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Sonic Youth, Queens of the Stone Age, Hum, Guided by Voices, Swervedriver, Pavement, Fugazi, Melvins, Quicksand, Pavement and other forms of melodic punk and alternative rock. Must have transportation to and from House of Hits Rehearsal Studios, a 24/7 rental studio for bands which is where we keep our gear and is our home away from home. Your kit will be safe to keep there. If all works out you would be expected to have cash to contribute to the monthly rent fees. We practice 1-2 times a week, and would be flexible of course with the days/times. Above all the ideal candidate must LIKE the songs and music he will be playing, and be a fast learner, as we have a good amount of songs to use for recording and hopefully we can book some live shows in the coming months.
