Description
I have a wonderful herd of goats, in my 7 acre pasture, and they love to graze, but there is a n oxious white flower wild plant, that grows so well, left over from the filler seeds in horse food from the last tenant. The wild white flowers are taking over the field, shading out the grass, and we need help pulling them up. They are very shallow rooted, so they come u p easily, and I just throw them up in the air and when they fall, the dirt comes off and the sun dries up their roots and they die. I need help doing this. Also, because of my poor sight, I have trouble walking in my field if there are sticks, and branches in the way, which have fallen from trees. I need help picking up these sticks and laying them at the side of the field along the fence where I do not walk. The whole time you will be helping me, there will be a parade of goats, 24 plus 6 new born kids this week. They are all very affectionate, as they wait for their "forever home". You can reach down and pet anybody who stands still. They love attention. Also in the fied we have the "father of the herd', Piglette, yes, he's a goat with a pigs name. He is a triplet, and his sister was Winnie and his brother is Tigger...so of course, he is a goat with a pigs name, piglette. He was raised with a bottle cause his mother died in child birth, so he is very tame, especially for an "intact" Billy, but he will bug the heck out of you, so be prepared to give him som pets, and eventually he'll get bored with you and leave you alone. Not so lucky will you be when you meet Erin Autumn, the miniature donkey, who was raised by hand and is so spoiled she won't let you alone till you dig your fingers in her fur and give her a scratch. Some times when my handyman is working in the pasture, bend over by a fence, She holds the back of his jeans in her mouth, like a pacifier, cause she loves people as well. Ken, our handman, says she helps him do his work, and each time he gets back up from a squat position, she re attaches herself to the waiste band of his jeans. Ken loves her and take photos often during h is work. So that's why and how I need help. It would be great for a family, but not little kids under 7 cause Piglette and Erin the donkey are pretty big, relativey speaking, and hard to push away which might intimidate a smaller child. I am available every day except Sunday mornings when I'm in church, so if you want to do a service project with the wold family give me a all. . It's also a good service project for Girl Scouts and Eagle Scouts. everyone welcome. Thanks The Farmers daughter, Carole Lokan Moore
