Description
Drummie here,
Who's ready to play some reggae music? Don't forget about ska, rocksteady, and the other forms that are part of the reggae story. All levels of musicianship are welcome but must be willing to DIVE INTO THE UNIQUE MUSICAL TRAITS of reggae and portray that in your playing (as well as your own unique style).
Let's get together and jam. So far song selections have been collected in terms of being fun, classic, and accessibility to play as a group (the selection is simply to get the ball rolling).
First, I want to collect a list of numbers, emails, and names so when dates and communication needs to happen it is done so more directly. PLEASE EMAIL ME SO I CAN START PUTTING TOGETHER A LIST. Please email me even if you are new to REGGAE or want to be a musician who can bring their special energy to the group when they are able to.
Looking for all instruments that will add to the reggae sound:
-Electric guitar/s and bass
-Percussion of all types
-Singers (Lead and backup)
-Keyboards
-Saxophone
-Trombone
-Trumpet
-Sound man (someone I can teach to do the DUB SOUNDS heard in reggae music)
-Dancers
Bless up,
Matt
