UPCS Quality Control Inspector. Two years of recent full-time experience either supervising or conducting quality control reviews of Combination Inspectors (or similar positions); AND Inspector Administration has never decertified the inspector for performance related issues and never substantiated any conduct-related issues. Quality Control Inspector meets Inspector Administration standards and incorporates Inspector Administration notices, guidance, and decisions into the performance of the work. UPCS Inspectors. Minimum qualification includes currently holding two or more of the following certifications: a) International Code Council (ICC) Commercial Building Inspector; b) ICC Residential Building Inspector; c) ICC Property Maintenance and Housing Inspector; d) Either ICC or International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) Residential Plumbing Inspector; e) Either ICC or IAPMO Residential Mechanical Inspector; OR f) Either ICC or International Association of Electrical Inspectors Residential Electrical Inspector. Expert Certified Expert Inspector. One Certified Expert Inspector is needed for every fifteen (15) certified general inspectors. This position will be responsible for ensuring the skills of its assigned inspectors stay current and continue to meet requirements for certified inspectors, including annual physical, hearing, and visual examinations. Meeting the minimum qualifications for a general inspector include a) Two years of recent (within the last four years) full-time experience either supervising or conducting quality control reviews of Combination (multidisciplined) inspectors (or similar positions); AND Currently holding two or more of the following certifications: 1) International Code Council (ICC) Commercial Building Inspector; 2) ICC Residential Building Inspector; 3) ICC Property Maintenance and Housing Inspector; 4) Either ICC or International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical 5) Officials (IAPMO) Residential Plumbing Inspector; 6) Either ICC or IAPMO Residential Mechanical Inspector; or 7) ICC or International Association of Electrical Inspectors Residential Electrical Inspector. General Inspectors. The minimum qualifications to be considered is as follows: a) Have passed an annual physical, hearing, and visual exam; b) Have a high school education or equivalent; c) Two years of recent (within the last 4 years) full-time experience as a certified Combination (multi-discipline) inspector (or similar certified position) by a national or government-recognized agency; d) Completed One Hundred Fifty (150) or more commercial building inspections; e) No previous decertification by any agency for performance related issues; f) Have no conduct-related issues substantiated by any agency; g) Pass a background investigation that meets agency requirements, All interested applicants are requested to email verification of qualifications or Fax to (817) 394-1800.
