First time band leader looking to make a band

Long time local musician here! I am looking to start my own band for the first time as band leader. I plan to book small local shows/festivals. It will likely be a slower process to get some good gigs, but I'm confident I know how to break into the scene. I have worked with other band leaders and been shown the ropes and I have learned a lot. Now it's time for me to try it myself. - This will not likely make a ton of money, especially early on. This will be more of a passion/hobby project, though I will take it seriously and put in effort. Even more important than the management is the music. I play bass and ukulele and I sing harmonies. I'm not tied to any one genre. I enjoy playing funk, fusion, jazz, classic rock, latin, bluegrass. The most important thing is that you are willing to practice at least once a week, preferably more. I want to get a really solid product ready for some casual fun gigs. Let's get creative with it! Any instrument you play, any genre, reach out and maybe we can make it work.
