• Position: Part-time, Nonexempt • Division: Business Operations • Reports Directly to: Facilities Team Director • Job Level: Individual Contributor • Location: We have two openings - One for our downtown location working Monday-Friday, 5pm-9pm and one for our Overland Park/Leawood location working Sunday, 8am-12pm and Mon-Thurs, 1pm-5pm. Job Summary The Facilities Tech performs a variety of maintenance functions, both interior and exterior, to support operations and ministries of the church. As a member of the Business Operations Division, partners with staff and locations to assist with facility operational needs. Position-Specific • Set up rooms for programing and events. • Complete work orders. • General maintenance and repair - Paint, Sheetrock, Doors, Hardware, Ceilings, Floors • Schedule repairs/projects in coordination with ministry needs. • Maintain high level of appearance for church buildings and grounds. • Notify Security of any security and/or safety issues. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications • Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in facilities maintenance with prior experience in building construction trades or in general building construction preferred. • Physical requirements: ability to push/lift 75 pounds, climb ladders, bend at waist, kneel, climb, walk, crouch. • Proven Results in basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs; customer service and organizational skills; detail orientation; initiative.
