Immersive theater company looking to fill both a theater tech/carpenter position and a theater carpenter position for a 13-20 day event in Dallas end of September through November 3rd. House of Spirits is an immersive theater program featuring comedians, actors, singers, musicians, improv actors, and background actors. Guests are encouraged to speak with the talent to try and uncover the hidden secrets of the mansion. Part immersive theater part cocktail soiree. This is the first season this project is in Dallas (first in New York, and second in Los Angeles), and we are so excited. We work hard, and we have fun doing it. Duties for the theater tech/carpenter position include: -Running the lighting and sound components of our theatrical event, ensuring everything runs smoothly at the right times -Setting up equipment prior to the show -Breaking down equipment at the end of the show -Making sure the equipment setup is safe for actors and other staff to be around -Maintaining and repairing equipment and doing basic set fixes. -Any other tasks as requested by the Director/Producer All around handy man desired. Duties for the theater carpenter position include: -Building sets and set pieces -Setting up sets and set pieces each day prior to the show -Making sure the equipment setup is safe for actors and other staff to be around -Carpentry related theater building repairs or renovations and new construction -Moving set pieces such as scenery, furniture, or props -Any other tasks as requested by the Director/Producer Wage is $20 - $35 an hour depending on experience.
