Prospective candidates will show an understanding of the basic principles of dignity and respect for all people, while promoting the work of PCL concerning social justice for people with developmental disabilities. As a licensed (or license eligible) mental health professional, this position will model the best methods of supporting a person that exhibits challenging behavior as a result of developmental disabilities or mental illness. Additionally, this position will inform, provide, and demonstrate mental health service modalities that meet the “person centered” needs of supported individuals. The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible to provide the support and care necessary to help children and young adults achieve an improved quality of life, while providing direct counseling services, supporting the team in adherence to the treatment plan and designing and implementing clinical services, as needed. This position is one of the first touch points for a child entering PCL ‘s services and follows the child throughout their entire time of being in PCL ‘s services. The Clinical Supervisor coordinates monthly Service Team Check Ins with each child’s team to assure that goals are on track and work through any concerns to ensure that all of PCL’s services are being provided as agreed upon. This person also plays a key role in guiding PCL’s Transition & Children's Services. This position must encourage the best practice of supporting people using evidence-based therapeutic models and environmental change to achieve a stable and productive life. One of the most important aspects of this position is to build a dedication to new, innovative methods of support to all team members where it may apply. These methods must adhere to the ideals of the PCL Mission Statement, and the general positive-based philosophy of behavior support at PCL. Preference will be given to applicants who are licensed. However, PCL will also consider license eligible applicants. Wages for this position fall within the Licensed Professional Wage Band. A licensed employee starts at $4,900 a month, salary exempt. For a license eligible employee, the wage starts at $4,200 a month, salary exempt. All offers of employment are contingent upon a candidate's successful completion of PCL's pre-employment drug testing, and background investigation, which includes employment, education and criminal histories. Type of Position: Full-time, salary exempt, 45+ hours a week. Occasional after hours support, meetings, retreats are required. Education Requirements: Master’s in Counseling or related degree and Licensed (or license eligible) in the State of Oregon Experience Requirements: Preference will be given to those who have worked in the I/DD field Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old Possess a valid ODL with an acceptable driving record (min. of 6 months driving experience).() Be able to regularly lift a minimum of 25lbs (some positions require more) Pass a State/Federal criminal history check (fingerprints may be required).(.
