Somebody had to end this disastrous war/occupation of Afghanistan. Obama passed the hot potato to Trump. Trump tried to negotiate with the Taliban and got burned. Biden's exit strategy did not go as planned, but at least we are out. In a couple of weeks, every one of our troops will be home. I appreciate Trump's attempt to exit Afghanistan despite his failure to pull it off. At least he tried. I respect Biden's difficult decision to pull our troops out. The exit from this 3rd world nation is ugly, but at least it is happening. There is never a graceful end to a war. We should all be mindful of that before we enter new wars in the future.
