Help 10 yr old pit bull

About 7 months ago I was asked to foster a 10 yr old pit bull temporarily. They have just abandoned him here. I'm running a kitten rescue and this dog is scared to death of the kittens and cats. He hates it here. I'm looking for a good home for him. His name is Smokey and he's really smart. He knows all of the important commands and never has an accident in the house. If you can help please respond. He's a good dog. He just needs a better environment.
