Summary: Looking for an experienced mechanic to work for a regional general contractor to provide service, maintenance, and repairs to various construction equipment and vehicles. Essential Job Functions: Listed below are the essential job function of your position, however, these functions do not exclude any Beam Construction employee from being assigned other task (by their supervisor) when necessary. • Disassemble, repair, remove and replace parts of engines, transmissions, drive assemblies, brakes, clutches of vehicles, equipment and machinery. • Tune, adjust, regulate equipment engines, valves, pumps, carburetors, and other mechanical components with variable settings. • Lubricate and service vehicles, equipment and machinery. • Requires substantial amount of field repairs on active jobsites. • Maintain accurate records of service jobs. • Order repair parts and lubrication supplies as needed. • Operate cutting torch and welding machine. • Equipment Includes: Lulls (AWD Forklift), Skid Steers, Backhoes, Excavators, Various small gas engines • Help workers in other crafts when not engaged in lubrication, service, maintenance and repair work. • The employee in this job must be knowledgeable about and follow the company's safety policies and procedures as described in the company safety manual. • Must have valid driver's license, good driving record required. May require certification for certain types of equipment repairs. • A company provided fully equipped service truck will be provided. Physical Demands: • Medium to heavy lifting requirements. • Required to reach out, up, down, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, crawl, push and pull.
