Break Free Presents "'The Cleansing: Free Em' All: A Black August Commemoration,'" A Discussion, Healing Session, Showcase, and Open Mic. Comrades salute! It’s that time for our in-person installment of the month, and since y’all loved our Rooftop Edition last month we figured we’d run it back at least one more time for y’all before the fall months hit! With that said, we’re going to end August by commemorating our heroes with “Free Em’ All: A Black August Commemoration.” Black August is the month that we honor our Freedom Fighters that have paid the ultimate price fighting against the system for the betterment of our community. We will be discussing the history of Black August, our heroes, what we can learn from them, how we can support the ones still incarcerated today, and more! Join us as we express through art, discussion, and partake in healing practices. August 27th, 2021 from 7pm - 11pm at (1001 Saint Paul St, Baltimore, MD, 21202).
