Register now to enter your 2-man team to make "Anything Over Rice!" Entry is $50 per team. Includes 2 t-shirts if you register before 9/17. Register today for the inaugural "Anything Over Rice" cookoff! We will have "celebrity" judges to taste and crown a winner at 12:30pm on October 2 at Cajun Harley Davidson in Scott, La. Music will be provided by Nicholas Begnaud. The cost is $50 per team per entry. Please specify your delicious creation when registering. Some examples: jambalaya, Gumbo, Roast and Gravy, stews, ANYTHING you can serve over rice will be accepted. Each entry includes 2 event t-shirts if registration is received by September 17th. Team entries will be accepted until September 24th. If your team has been recruited by a LHS Lionettes team member, please specify the dancer upon registration. Visitors will be able to sample dishes starting at 10am. Soft drinks, water, and sweet treats will be available for purchase. Each taste, drink, and sweet treat will cost $1. Entry to the event is free. Rules: Dish must be served over rice. Team must supply all ingredients, cooking supplies, fuel, canopies/tents( 12' max), tables, chairs, and electricity. No open fires. Propane use preferred. Fire extinguisher required at each site. Teams are encouraged to have at least 100 tastes for visitors(tasting cups and spoons will be provided for each team). Participant may stop providing samples at their discretion but must have enough for judges. Samples must be ready for judges by 12pm. Winners will be announced at 12:30pm. Set up begins at 8am. Doors open to public for tastings, music and non-alcoholic beverages at 10am.
