A workshop for those just starting a position in Catholic music ministry. The 2021 Indianapolis New Music Director Workshop is a morning of discussion and learning about the topics most relevant to those beginning a position in Catholic music ministry. The Archdiocesan Music Commission will lead discussions on topis such as liturgical planning, liturgical books and resources, the liturgical calendar, copyright law, and much more. Those new to Catholic music ministry, or those looking to brush up on topics like these, are invited and welcome to attend. The workshop begins at 9:00 a.m. at the rectory for the Cathedral of SS. Peter and Paul and concludes at noon with an optional lunch. Andrew Motyka is the Director of Archdiocesan and Cathedral Liturgical Music for the Archdiocese of Indianapolis.
