Description

Paint The Path on Sept. 19, 2021* to benefit the Washington BRIDGE Education Foundation! *Raindate 9/26/21 Join us Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021* to paint the path that runs in-between the Washington Fire Dept. and Five Points . Your $10 purchase gurantees you a square to paint along with the materials needed to create your masterpiece (paint/brushes). *Raindate Sept. 26, 2021 Tips to Know....More than one square can be purchased. We can meet the request to paint next to someone else. Families can paint a square, multiple friends can paint a square, or individuals can paint a square (s). Day-of square purchases are allowed. Check in at the BRIDGE tent located along the path any time between 12pm-5pm to recieve your materials and get your square assignment. No outside paint can be brought in, we must use the paint that's been tested/apporved; personal paint brushes are allowed as are other tools/resources to help with your design. We do recommend you bring something to kneel on while you paint, the concrete is not comfortable! One sidewalk square on the path is 10ft x 10ft. We will be taking one square and dividing it into quarters. You purchase one of the squares for $10 (or buy all four and really create a masterpiece!). When you arrive to the Five Points parking lot (far side, by the Abe Lincoln statue), check into our tent to pick up your supplies and we'll let you know what number square (s) to paint...then, paint away! Take pictures, have fun! Enjoy the rest of the Fall Market taking place (craft vendors, food trucks, live music and a bar). Our Paint the Path event coincides with Five Points' Fall Market. You'll need to find our check-in tent to get your paint, brushes, etc...and what number square (s) you have. If you don't pre-purchase a square, you can buy them the day of ! This event is hosted by BRIDGE and proceeds will benefit this foundation. Washington BRIDGE Education Foundation is an Illinois not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Over the spring and summer of 2021, community members donated their time and skills to put in place the fundamental elements for this education foundation. By connecting students, faculty, alumni, administrators, and community members, the founding board of directors are working to establish a long-term, self-sustaining financial base that will continue to benefit District #308 WCHS students and faculty for years to come. Funding student scholarships, teacher grants, educational activities and other positive reinforcements will enrich and inspire educational experiences for all students at all levels of academic performance.
