In this September GreeneHouse Gatherings Workshop, learn the art and craft of the Japanese Kokedama. Class Description: Join us for a GreeneHouse Gatherings Workshop! In this workshop, learn the art and craft of the Japanese Kokedama. This traditional bonsai form is easy to create as well as easy to care for at home. Loosely translated, 'koke' means 'moss' and 'dama' means 'ball'. In this art form, a plant's roots are wrapped and bound with moss and string to create a living sculpture. Instructor: Grace Pearson Grace's Kokedama creations are heralded by our customers as some of their favorite things to find in our shop. Each one she creates is unique and beautiful. Class Details: During this class, you'll create your own Kokedama from a tropical house plant. You will also learn the best practices for care and upkeep to keep your Kokedama beautiful and healthy. All materials will be provided with your class registration fee. Class will take place inside our newly expanded shop, located at 407 Tusculum Blvd. Greeneville, TN. ** At this time, we are not providing beverages or snacks during classes. We are taking safety measures during this time to protect you as well as our staff. You are welcome to bring a snack and drink with you to class at your discretion. Also, class sizes will be smaller than in the past to help with social distancing.
