Description
Looking to rehome a two year old min pin mix. He is neutered and has some of his shots. He needs extensive training and is not meant for someone who doesn't have experience with dogs. He was rehomed to us without giving us a clear picture of his behavioral issues and we don't want to do that to someone else.
The good: he loves to play fetch, he is a water dog for sure, and he can be affectionate and snuggly at times. He seems to get along with other dogs pretty well. He knows sit and stay and is kennel trained. (But will not consistently follow the commands)
The bad: he does not do well with cats or young children. He's never bitten anyone that I'm aware of, but we just tried to rehome him on a trial basis to a family with a two year old and a four year old and I was told he nipped at them when they were poking at him etc. Did not hurt them though. He was fine with my 7 year old who knew not to do things like that. He has separation anxiety and will bark if he's alone. He becomes possessive over his person, and will bark at people who come close (though again I've never had him bite or anything). He has an enormous amount of energy. He needs a high energy person/family. He is not fully house trained. He will go inside if you're not watching him, but we got him going outside 90 percent of the time. He will occasionally chew on things, but has gotten a lot better about that.
We are not open to doing another rehoming on a trial basis... that was with a family friend and a one time thing.
Asking for a rehoming fee of 50.
