MALDEN, MA — A murder investigation is underway in Malden, the Middlesex District Attorney's office said. Officers responded to a report of an injured person the Edgeworth neighborhood shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday. Police found a man on the sidewalk in front of a home with "extensive sharp-force injuries" to his body, the district attorney said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect, identified as 43-year-old Joshua Roush, of Malden, was found inside the home, authorities said. Roush into custody after a "special operations protocol and extensive communication were put in place," according to a statement from the district attorney's office. Investigators believe Roush knew the victim and attacked him during an argument, the district attorney said. Roush will be arraigned Monday morning in Malden District Court.
