Wheaton Murder Charge: Silver Spring Man, 19, Arrested Thursday

SILVER SPRING, MD — Police charged a 19-year-old from Silver Spring with murdering Marvin Alexander Mendoza, 25, in Wheaton last week. Police arrested Erik Aguilar and charged him with first-degree murder. He is being held without bond, Montgomery County Police said. Police say they responded to a call about gunshots on Aug. 10, and found Mendoza's body. The medical examiner said it was a homicide.
