Roadwork Causes Closures, Detours Along Route 7 Near Reston

RESTON, VA — Roadwork as part of the Virginia Department of Transportation's ongoing Route 7 Corridor Improvements project will impact traffic this week in Reston and Great Falls. On or about Tuesday, drivers traveling westbound on Route 7 will encounter a lane shift to the north between Reston Avenue and Reston Parkway. In order to access Northfalls Court, drivers will need to use the service road between westbound Route 7 and Northfalls Court. (Courtesy of VDOT) Drivers expecting to turn onto Utterback Store Road at Route 7 in Great Falls on Monday morning were in for a surprise. VDOT closed access to the road at the intersection as part of the ongoing Route 7 project. While work is being done, drivers will need to follow VDOT's detour in order access Utterback Store Road between Georgetown Pike and Route 7. (Courtesy of VDOT)
