Westport Car Cruise Event Postponed Due To Weather

WESTPORT, CT — Following unfavorable weather conditions over the weekend, the Westport Police Benevolent Association's third annual car cruise event originally scheduled for Aug. 14 has been rescheduled to take place Saturday, according to police. The rescheduled event will take place in Lot #1 of the Saugatuck Train Station from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., according to a news release. Cars of all years, makes and models are welcome. The fee to enter and display a car is $20. The first one hundred cars to arrive will receive a gift bag. This family event will feature music, as well as food provided by JR's Food Truck and Micallizi's Italian Ice. The Westport PBA is a charitable organization which donates money to many worthwhile causes such as the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, Special Olympics and Veterans and Families of Fallen Officers. Trophies will be awarded and there will be raffle prizes to win.
