TOMS RIVER, NJ — Toms River residents will have an opportunity to ask questions about a proposed redevelopment plan for downtown at a meeting on Thursday. The informational meeting is set for 5 p.m. Thursday in the L. Manuel Hirshblond Room on the second floor of Toms River Town Hall, 33 Washington St. Toms River Township Council members and the Capodagli Development team, the proposed developer, along with township professionals will be in attendance, Toms River officials said. The proposed redevelopment plan was presented at the Aug. 10 council meeting, and during the meeting council members insisted on a meeting for residents of the downtown area to ask questions. "It's not right that we're giving our residents 5 minutes right now," Councilman Terrance Turnbach said. The presentation was at the start of the Township Council meeting and can be viewed online. The PowerPoint presentation that was presented can be viewed here. Click here to get Patch email notifications, or download our app to have breaking news alerts sent right to your phone.
