Come learn and practice proper cleaning techniques in a hands-on headstone cleaning seminar at Washingtonville Cemetery! This is the LAST cleaning event this season before the cooler weather sets in! You are invited to join Washingtonville Cemetery Committee members Jill Moore & Colleen McArdelle for a professional hands-on headstone cleaning seminar on Saturday, Sept 18th starting at noon. Come learn and practice proper cleaning techniques using approved, safe products to use on headstones. Come prepared to get dirty and soapy so dress appropriately! If you want, feel free to bring a garden kneeler or comfy outdoor cushion to sit on - you will have to get down on the ground or bend over a lot during the cleaning process. Cost is $10 to cover cleaning supply costs. All participants are asked to respect COVID social distancing and wear masks when around others. We will spread participants throughout a section and you will be assigned an individual stone to work on - as long as you stay at your stone, you can de-mask.
