NEW HAVEN, CT —Friday a woman was shot. Saturday a man was shot. Sunday a man was stabbed. New Haven police are investigating all three "incidents." Friday at around 5 a.m., police got a call from Yale New Haven Hospital that a person suffering from a gunshot wound, a 28-year-old West Haven woman police later learned, was brought to the hospital by "private" car, according to New Haven Police Department spokesperson officer Scott Shumway. She's listed in stable condition, he said, adding that "detectives are currently working to determine where the incident occurred." Saturday just after 6 p.m., police got a Shotspotter alert to gunfire on Davenport Avenue, between West Street and Congress Avenue. A short time later, Yale New Haven Hospital called police to report that a 22-year-old New Haven man had walked into the hospital, suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and was listed in stable condition. Sunday at 6 a.m., another call from Yale New Haven Hospital, in this case about a man who'd been stabbed, Shumway said. The 34-year-old New Haven man was stabbed on Gilbert Avenue, between Greenwood and Orchard streets. Shumway said the man "walked to the hospital" where he was treated for non-life-threatening wounds. He was listed in stable condition. Police ask that any witnesses who have not yet spoken with investigators contact the New Haven Police Department Investigative Services Division at 203-946-6304. Callers may remain anonymous or submit tips anonymously by calling 1-866-888-TIPS(8477), or text "NHPD plus your message" to 274637 (CRIMES).
