Come and join us help eradicate childhood obesity and suicide with our walk and family fun day! Did you know ... - Overall, the rate of childhood obesity has more than tripled over the last four decades—rising from 5 percent in 1978 to 18.5 percent in 2016. Of course, that is an alarming trend and we have to do something about it! -According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in 2019 suicide was the second leading cause of death among children and adolescents ages 13 to 19 — and the leading cause of death among 13-year-olds. It is the 10th leading cause of deaths among all Americans. Our event is very important to the mental and physical health of our youth. We will be brining new ways to incorporate healthy practices into your everyday life! Come enjoy our family fun day as we will walk to eradicate childhood obesity and suicide. Light refreshments will be provided. Our schedule is as follows: 10:30am-11am - Registration 11am - 1130am - Warm up / Flash Mob 11:30am - 12:30pm - 2 Mile Walk/Run 12:30 - 2:30 - Family Fun We hope to see you all there!!!!!!
