2 Year old Border Collie who is great with kids

This is Henry, and he is a 2-year-old (DOB 9/21/19) border collie. He is neutered and caught up on all vaccines. He has had some professional training and understand all the basic obedience commands. He is quite a character, and as most border collies are at a 10 constantly, he sits at about a 5 most of the time as long as you give him some exercise each day. Absolutely loves playing fetch, but only lasts about 20 minutes. He loves to swim, so much so that you will need to put a lifejacket on him because he won’t stop swimming until he’s exhausted. He is great with only chewing on his toys and is not a destructive dog, unless it is his toy. He is great around kids 6-7 and up, with younger kids he can be a little too much. Very important, he is not good with other dogs. In the right home with the right dog and the right training he could be after some time, but it is likely that Henry will need to be an only dog. He is amazing with people and loves everyone but after being attacked at the dog park when he was 6 months old, he is fearful of other dogs. I tried some training but was unable to keep up on it. The only reason I am looking for a new home for Henry is for his benefit. He is a great dog, sometimes a little much but worth it. He is sweet and loyal, and too smart for his own good. After getting Henry my fiancée and I split up. With my job I travel a lot, and this adds up to Henry not getting the attention he deserves. He would do great with a yard, a family and kids and as a single professional moving to Sacramento I cannot provide that currently. I am not looking for a re-homing fee, and will provide Henry’s kennel, bed as well as other small items of his at no charge. What I am looking for is a good home for him with good people that will love him, exercise him, and continue to teach him how to be a good boy.
