NORRISTOWN, PA — A new career center to help the unemployed find work and job training has opened up in Montgomery County.
The new Pennsylvania CareerLink facility, located in Norristown, aims to help the roughly 22,100 individuals still without work in the county's labor force.
"As job seekers continue to face challenges finding work due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, we encourage Montco residents to reach out to PA CareerLink Montgomery County for no-cost help to get their career back on track," Montgomery County Commissioner Val Arkoosh said in a statement.
Among the free services CareerLink provides is unemployment compensation claim guidance, personalized career counseling, job search assistance, online and in-person workshops, and other vocational training opportunities.
The new office is located inside Montgomery County Health and Human Services Center, where residents can also access a variety of other services, including Senior Services, Public Health, Veterans Affairs, Mental Health/Developmental Disabilities and Early Intervention, Children and Youth, Early Learning Resource Center, and more.

The Montgomery County Health and Human Services Center is located on 1430 DeKalb Street in Norristown.
