Press release from the Atlanta Police Department: 08/15/2021 Preliminary Information: On 8/14/21, around 11:00 pm, While in traffic officers observed a suspected larceny vehicle that matched the description of a vehicle that had been performing larcenies in the area.  After activating blue lights the vehicle fled the scene while hitting other vehicles in the process. Officers remained on the scene to assist the victims whose vehicles were hit. Later, officers noticed a male walking in the area fitting the description of the suspect. After seeing the officers, the suspect fled on foot. After a short foot pursuit, officers were able to apprehend the suspect without incident. The suspect was taken into custody. It was later discovered the suspect T-boned a vehicle on Juniper St and injured a pedestrian. The driver of this vehicle and the pedestrian were both transported to Grady in stable condition.  Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding this incident and to identify anyone else involved.  This investigation continues.  Please keep in mind the above information is preliminary in nature and could change as the investigation progresses or new information comes to light.
