From the City of Birmingham: August 13, 2021 BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Known as the longest-running NCAA Division II classic in the nation, the Morehouse-Tuskegee Classic will be making its way to Birmingham this fall. Since 1902, Morehouse College and Tuskegee University have a long-standing tradition of facing off on the gridiron and that tradition will continue in the heart of Birmingham at the Historic Legion Field on Saturday, Oct. 9 at 7:00 p.m. CT. Tickets for the 2021 game are now on sale and can be purchased by visiting www.morehousetuskegeeclassic.com. From Friday, Aug. 13 through Monday, Aug. 16, tickets will be buy one get one free online only. Starting Aug. 18, tickets will be available Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at the Legion Field ticket office until the week of the game. The box office will open at noon on game day. The football classic began as an entertainment event for the African-American civilian community and U.S. Army soldiers in the Columbus-Fort Benning, Ga., and Phenix City, Ala. area. Today, its primary purpose is to help raise funds for scholarships to help young men and women attend college. There will be several events leading up to kick off including: Thursday, October 7 OFFICIAL PRESS CONFERENCE ABOUT: Welcoming local, regional and national media to hear more from the coaches and selected players of each school.
