PMI Iowa is actively hiring Assemblers in Ames, IA. As an Assembler, you will assist with the assembly of agriculture components into completed agriculture equipment. Collaboration with management and colleagues is pertinent to PMI Iowa. This role offers a Monday-Friday schedule with some shift flexibility to start earlier in the mornings during the summer. Job Duties: • Know and apply all relevant OSHA, PMI, and customer safety policies, procedures, and practices • Work with 120- and 480-volt electrical components in an industrial setting, such as limit switches, multi-conductor wire and encoders • Cut, thread, bend and install IMC conduit within shop tolerances • Unload, inventory, and maintain all Schumacher Elevator materials, tools, hardware, and material handling equipment used in the assembly of towers • Set up and operate a variety of powered, hand-held drills, grinders and saws, as well as appropriate non-powered hand tools required to perform tasks Job Requirements: • Valid driver’s license required • High school diploma/GED • Ability to pass DOT physical and maintain medical card • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs as well as handle, move, carry, push, pull, lift and lower tools, materials, equipment and structures continually throughout the workday • Ability to MIG weld and operate a forklift/boom lift is a plus Benefits: • Healthcare coverage • Dental and vision insurance • 401(k) with an employer match • Disability and life insurance • Paid vacation and holidays • Year-round employment PMI Iowa is excited to welcome new team members.
