Each year, the ALS Association, MN/ND-SD Chapter holds the Larry Sing Memorial ALS Golf Classic. Established in 1994, members of the agricultural community in the Fargo/Moorhead area come together to remember Larry Sing, who died from ALS in 1997. Four-person teams compete on two golf courses for a great day of golf, dinner, and an impressive silent auction. This year’s tournament will be held on Monday, August 23. Volunteers are needed at 2 locations throughout the day: Moorhead Country Club in Moorhead Hole Volunteers [8:30 am - 4:00 pm] Course Setup [8:30 am -4:00 pm] Sell Raffle Tickets (Background Check Required) [8:30 am - 4:00 pm] Take Photographs [11:00 am - 2:00 pm Edgewood Golf Course in Fargo Hole Volunteers [8:30 am - 4:00 pm] Course Setup [8:30 am -4:00 pm] Sell Raffle Tickets (Background Check Required) [8:30 am - 4:00 pm] Take Photographs [11:00 am - 2:00 pm] As a thank you for volunteering, you’ll receive lunch and 2 non-alcoholic beverages. More importantly, you’ll be an integral part of an event that helps fund the Hrbek-Sing Communication and Assistive Device Program. Through this program, people living with ALS can borrow devices that help them communicate after they lose the ability to do so verbally, maintain their independence, and stay safe.
