TEMP TO HIRE BASIS - MUST BE WILLING TO WORK 10 - 12 HOUR DAYS ON A 3 - 4 DAYS / WEEK BASIS SCHEDULES: NIGHT SHIFT: MONDAY - FRIDAY 7:00 PM - 6:00 AM, SUNDAY: 11:30 PM - 6:00 AM DAY SHIFT: MONDAY - SATURDAY 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM 4 DAYS / WEEK The Gatehouse Attendant will assist with daily collection operations at the gatehouse for a TDS landfill or transfer station and provide courteous, professional service to all customers. High school diploma or equivalent and one year of related experience; Ability to work efficiently and productively with minimum direct supervision; Ability to identify the size and type of collection; Ability to measure non-standard trucks and to compute the size of their loads in cubic yards; Ability to identify hazardous and special wastes; Must be able to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS); Basic computer and internet navigation skills; Basic math skills; Must pass the waste screening test after one year of employment (company trains); and Must satisfactorily complete two to four hours of monitored observation in a gatehouse office; Waste Screening license (after one year of employment) *Texas Disposal Systems is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
