The Facilities & Construction Project Manager position provides quality support and superior customer service by maintaining optimally function facilities, building systems, and equipment for Telesis, Inc. This dynamic position provides opportunities to manage facilities in multiple industries including manufacturing, hospitality, hydroponic farming and more, with many of these companies operating out of historical landmark buildings in the bustling Lincoln Haymarket area. Essential Functions Preventative Maintenance Create and maintain effective preventative maintenance programs that adhere to annual budget plans. Conduct inspections of each facility based on the preventative maintenance schedule and maintain an existing asset database of repair and replacement history to track costs, trends, and perform life cycle cost analysis to develop equipment replacement plans. General Maintenance Schedule and coordinate general maintenance and repair while working with selected vendors to identify and solve any discrepancies. You will continually compare estimated maintenance costs to actual expenditures. Construction Projects Manage specific projects while utilizing benchmarks to establish industry rates in regard to be bids, estimates, and actual expenditure. Energy Management Utilize benchmarks to establish energy use expectations and work with our Business Data Analysis to create and maintain energy plans for each facility. Competencies Thorough knowledge of project management techniques, practices and procedures Considerable knowledge of contractor and consultant relations to direct and coordinate activities on individual projects Able to research and perform life cycle costing analysis to determine the best equipment and furnishings to purchase Working knowledge of how to communicate effectively with R&M vendors Experience in the development and implementation of initiatives relating to energy efficiency, water conservation and greenhouse gas reduction Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, scanners and copiers. Physical Demands While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is frequently required to walk or stand. The employee is occasionally required to bend, twist or reach as well as lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision preferred and the ability to adjust focus between multiple tasks. Classification Salaried Exempt Reports To President Availability 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, available nights and weekends as needed Required Education and Experience Associate's degree in Facilities Management, Project Management, or a similar field, or its equivalent and 4 or more years of experience Preferred Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Project Management or a similar field and 4 or more years of experience Join our team!
