Infinity Design Solutions (IDS) is a full service general contracting company in the heart of the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, DC focused on repair and preservation of historic properties in the Washington, DC area. IDS is currently seeking and assistant project manager, experienced in construction management and site supervision to join our team. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Liaise directly with clients, maintaining professional communication and a strong customer service orientation at all times • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the contract documents and properly plan construction sequencing, and staffing coordination • Review and update construction staff on any project changes • Coordinate with clients, construction crews, and suppliers to resolve any issues with materials or methods • Purchase material from preferred vendors and suppliers and ensure competitive pricing • Visit job sites and participate in on-site progress meetings with clients, as required • Demonstrate resourcefulness in assessing and troubleshooting of issues and problems Required Skills/Qualifications: • 2-5 years of related experience with an emphasis on historic residential properties • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with an aptitude to learn other software • Excellent interpersonal skills, and verbal and written communication; Spanish speaking a plus • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists • Ability to work independently or on a team at multiple locations in the Washington, DC metro area • Ability to exercise sound judgment, find effective solutions and troubleshoot in a fast-paced environment • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and multitask • Ability to manage detailed/complex concepts and problems • Prompt, follow through with clients, vendors and subs • Salary commensurate with experience All candidates wishing to apply may email their resume with contact information.
