JOB SUMMARY
The Inn Keeper is responsible for overseeing the successful operations of the facility to ensure guest satisfaction and enhance the facilities reputation among travelers.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Carry linens, towels, toiletries, and cleaning supplies
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, stairways, and other work areas so that health standards are met
• Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed
• Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas daily
• Replenish supplies, such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items
• Keep storage areas and laundry room well-stocked, clean, and tidy
• Dust and polish furniture and equipment
• Sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors, using brooms, mops, or powered scrubbing and waxing machines
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaners and shampooers
• Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing, as necessary
• Disinfectant equipment and supplies, using germicides or steam-operated sterilizers
• Observe precautions required to protect hotel and guest property and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors
• Move and arrange furniture and turn mattresses
• Manage online reservation system, greet guests for check-in and organize departure plans
• Coordinate pricing and other online reservation systems connected to the properties main system
• Assist guests with information about local activities and attractions, help with dining reservation or other needs
• Any other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma or GED
