At Performance Filmworks we design and build some of the most cutting edge film equipment used on film, tv, and commercial sets to this day. We pride ourselves on not only building some of the most stable and reliable equipment including high speed camera cars, gyro stabilized camera cranes and heads, and so much more! Job Description:
So here’s the basic skills needed...
- Able to stand for 10 or more hours
- Often lift over 50 lb items sometimes over 100lb with help
- Applicants must be able to read, write, and speak english
- Comfortably drive many different vehicles, car, suv, truck...
- Be on time and work hard
- Be able to clean the interior and exterior of vehicles, car, suv, truck, trailer...
- Want to learn to or be able to perform basic vehicle services (oil changes, brake jobs, tire rotations, etc…)
- Understand basic fabrication principles or want to learn and be able to use power tools, milling machine, drill press and metal lathe, etc...
- Want to learn or have knowledge in welding MIG/TIG (aluminum, steel, stainless steel)
- Want to learn or have knowledge of electronics and/or electrical engineering
In a nutshell those are the basic skills needed for this position and that we would like applicants to have and now a little bit about our day to day operations.
In the shop you would...
- Complete daily work orders and equipment repairs...
- Clean, service, update and repair all equipment before it goes out for work...
- Work with office staff to facilitate equipment preps and paperwork...
- Work with set crew members to prepare equipment for jobs...
- Clean and organize shop materials and tools daily...
- Drive on parts runs to acquire materials and tools
