Description
Join the club, and learn time saving tips and tricks using Photoshop. The DMV Photography Workshops introduces "The Digital Darkroom Club!" The goal in these monthly meetings is share and learn more about Photoshop even if you use either Lightroom or CaptureOne in your workflow. So on the second Monday of the month we will be introducing folks to Photoshop and doing creative dives based on the participants needs as well. You have the options to join us either in studio, or on our live web Zoom conference where we will be starting at the basics and then going deeper and deeper into Photoshop to help get more out of that image you captured.(A dual monitor setup would be ideal if you are going to with us on our ZOOM call.) And if you do not have Adobe Photoshop, but was always thinking you need to get into it, check out their Photography Plans here! In this digital world of photography, there is so much you can do with that RAW file, it's packed with information. So we will explore some classic approaches to the darkroom to help you bring out what you want in the image. Some of the topics we will be covering will include: Understanding the pixels, digital colorAdjustment layers/MaskingCurves and LevelsFrequency seperation/Skin RetouchingDoging and buringComposites, background replacementParticipants can come in and discuss what they are having trouble with, or simply come to learn new techniques, or share what they are doing and learned. With any good software there are many ways to get to the same result. But be very aware what you are doing to the pixels, what looks good on your phone on social media may not translate well in a print, especailly a 30 x 40. If you shoot people, places, or things come join us becasue taking the shot is just the first step! Then follow along as we create and discover so many wonderful things in Photoshop. All ages are welcomed and encouraged. A meeting invitation will be emailed to you after you sign up by the instructor. You must have a computer and again a dual monitor setup is ideal but not needed. Please note: We only give refunds if the workshop is "cancelled." The DMV Photography Workshops Since 2005 our selection of workshops are created for anyone interested in learnign the art of photography. With our 1300 sq ft studio space located in Baltimore, MD we are able to bring you some of the most informative "hands on" workshops taught by working professional photographers in the area. We conduct our workshops in a very relaxing learning environment for all the participants and models to work in. Our group workshops are kept at 2:1 ratio, two photographers working with one model. We hire 2-3 models for each of our group workshops so each participant has the equal time working with multiple models for a complete creative workshop learning environment. The first hour is planning and setup as a creative team, then two hours of working with the talent. Select a workshop at least one week in advance to take advantage of the Early Bird price specials, plus the memberships option and join us to learn more about what you are passionate about. And do not forget to check out our new "Photo Tours" web page where we take trips with other Photo tour companies. Like the trip to Iceland that is coming up in spring 2020, or Kauai in fall 2020.
