Register your school age children k-12 for free fishing tournament and free fishing poles. The Expo will feature local businesses/organizations who provide products, services, education, or support to the community in the event of a major disaster. We are also throwing a fishing tournament for school aged children. The school age children will receive a free fishing pole (while supplies last) and learn how they can use these survival skills in the event of a major disaster. The purpose of the expo is to educate our community on how best to prepare for a disaster (hurricane preparedness, boat safety, etc.) and what local services and products are available to them (window replacement, tree removal, insurance, etc.). The Expo will be held in conjunction with a "Jail and Bail" fundraiser where Mayor Don Burnette agreed to be "arrested" and will raise “bail” to be released. That is going to be a blast! There will be music, face painting, fishing, CERT Demos, vendors, and amazing food.
