Join in to celebrate 4 years of cannabis advocacy in Illinois! Normalizing Cannabis Conversations in the GO! MARGINALIZED COMMUNITIES HAVE BEEN HISTORICALLY LEFT OUT OF THE REAL CANNABIS CONVERSATIONS. WE STARTED FOUR YEARS AGO BY OPENING UP THE DIALOG AND DESTROYING THE STIGMAS ASSOCIATED WITH CANNABIS CULTURE. ADVOCACY, SOCIAL JUSTICE, INDUSTRY & CULTURE, AND PATIENT EDUCATION ARE THE PILLARS THAT CONTINUE TO GUIDE OUR WORK TOWARDS CREATING EQUITY WITHIN THE CANNABIS SPACE. OUR MEMBERS AND VOLUNTEERS ARE THE CORNERSTONE OF OUR ORGANIZATION AND DRIVE OUR WORK IN THE COMMUNITIES THAT HAVE BEEN MOST ADVERSELY IMPACTED BY THE CRIMINALIZATION OF CANNABIS. JOIN US AND HELP US CONTINUE THE WORK TOWARDS CREATING EQUITY IN THE CANNABIS SPACE. Chicago NORML’s mission is to move public opinion sufficiently to legalize the responsible use of marijuana by adults, and to serve as an advocate for consumers to assure they have access to high-quality marijuana that is safe, convenient and affordable. Our chapter further strives to educate and motivate communities of color to destigmatize and accept the cannabis plant as a vehicle for political, economic, and health & wellness empowerment.
