Description

Mama Talk: Titti Talk, in honor of National Black Breastfeeding Week In honor of Annual Black Breastfeeding Week, Mama Talk is hosting the very first Titti Talk which is a casual conversation with Lactation Specialists about breastfeeding. This Titti Talk discussion will be led by Midwife Sekesa Berry and Lactation Specialist Sterling Grey-Simmons. These specialists will be myth-busting many taboo topics related to breastfeeding. Such as, breastfeeding and alcohol, breastfeeding and sex also addressing concerns about milk-sharing. This Mama Talk event will also be a Drive-by Baby Shower filled with breastfeeding support items such as breast pumps, nipple pads and ointments. Drive-by for pick-up at 12:00pm. First come first serve. Registration is required. Mama Talk is co-hosted by our community partner, SisterSong WOC Reproductive Justice Collective. This BIPOC community support group is a safe space for us by us to share our birth stories, birthing fears and fertility concerns. Each month this sister circle meets to share common experiences, support one another and empower themselves. Some of our topics of discussions are: Belly binding and Baby Wearing, Cloth Diapering, Pampering your baby, Loving on your Womb and Painting from within. We are a team of Labor Support Specialists (Doulas) leading a community grassroots movement, aimed to fill the gap in Black Maternal Healthcare & Wellness.
