ROLE: We are looking for a motivated, dependable, and customer service oriented person to fill an available Delivery Driver position. This position is responsible for delivery of our portable storage units, vehicle upkeep & general maintenance, and general help with business segments. Maintenance and driving/delivery experience is preferred, but not required. Being available to work Saturdays is required. Typical work hours are 9-4 M-F & 9-2 Saturday. Job duties include, but are not limited to: ❖ General maintenance and upkeep of delivery vehicle and equipment ❖ Loading/unloading portable storage units onto delivery trailer with robotic mule ❖ Inspection and cleaning of units before delivery and on return ❖ Routine inspections and maintenance for all units ❖ Coordination with dispatch for scheduling ❖ Maintain professionalism and customer service on all deliveries ❖ Promote the company while out in company equipment ❖ Assist with upkeep and general maintenance of storage yard ❖ Coordinating outside maintenance contractors as needed ❖ Assisting other areas of business In addition to maintenance related work, responsibilities include: ❖ Being able to work both inside and outside in good and bad weather doing maintenance work (i.e. cleaning of units, picking up trash and debris, pulling weeds, sweeping hallways and grounds, shoveling snow from walkways, minor repair issues, touch up painting, etc.) ❖ Inventory/supply assistance ❖ Upkeep of tools and maintenance equipment Our ideal candidate must have: ❖ Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well with the public ❖ A valid drivers license ❖ Legal US work status ❖ Clean driving record (will need copy of MVR) ❖ Ability to drive 3500 pickup truck with gooseneck trailer ❖ Ability to work Saturdays ❖ General understanding of map applications and overall good sense of direction ❖ Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English (bi-lingual also a plus) ❖ A can-do attitude and a willingness to learn Must be able to pass a complete drug screening, background check, functionality test, have a valid U.S. Driver’s License and a bank account for payroll direct deposit. Physical requirements include: ❖ Frequent sitting, standing, & walking ❖ Driving for significant periods of time ❖ Physical effort for loading/unloading portable units on and off trailer including lifting of trailer gate, hookup of trailer to truck, and mule operation ❖ Physical effort for raising and lowering unit doors, cleaning and maintaining units which includes bending, squatting, lifting, and twisting ❖ Ability to lift 50+ lbs Part to Full-time position.
