Skittish but Loving Siamese Mix for Rehoming

Description
This is Precious. Precious was adopted from East Rutherfordton, NC where a local humane society rescues ferals and unwanted animals from going to a kill shelter in the area. They are perhaps the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of speaking to on the phone in my adult life! Unfortunately, however, now that Precious is in my home I realize she is not a match. Precious spent most of her life outdoors, we think, until a group of nursing home staffers found her hanging around the nursing home and started feeding her. The humane society trapped her and fostered her in a home with 15 other cats, but she was very well cared for. Precious is spayed, microchipped, dewormed and treated for fleas, FIV negative and rabies vaccinated. All of her paperwork comes with her, including proof of rabies vaccination date and the number and code you use to track her microchip if needed. Precious is loving and is not afraid of human touch - she will come out and rub on your hand - but you do need to lead her. She is good with other cats but has no interest in playing with them, which is the problem here. My cat constantly wants to play with Precious and Precious is getting agitated and beginning to hiss at her, whereas at first she would simply ignore the other cat. She also is skittish despite liking humans and will dart back under a piece of furniture at certain sudden movements. Sometimes she comes right back out to hang out with her tail up, etc., and other times she will stay hidden for 24 hours +, only coming out to feed. She has never hissed at me, bitten or scratched me, and she does sleep at the foot of my bed with me. I consider Precious a bit sedentary because she does not enjoy running and playing like other cats I've had. However like I said she is loving and does like people when she is not lounging in the sun. She is quite beautiful as you can see and I am very intent on getting her a good home that can tolerate her behavior. I really think she could come out of her shell even more with either no pets or pets who do not want to play with her. I really want her to have a good home because of her history with God knows what and because she has the potential to be a wonderful, quiet companion. I would like to talk on the phone with anyone interested in adopting Precious beforehand so I know that you are not going to abuse her and that you know her history. I am in Wells but will travel. Small rehoming fee applies. Thank you!
