Welder Needed to work on a few livestock trailers out of town (South towards Gonzales TX). If you're unable to drive there, we could make arrangements at first to meet on the way South. Duties: Welding materials using the correct materials to join the metals together Inspect and verify work. Requirements: Ability to weld on a flat, curved, or vertical surface. Be able to make minor adjustments to the welding equipment as needed. Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment. Perform other routine duties as needed(We do not only focus on welding jobs, we repair trailers and could be anything from a small tire replacement to an electrical job and in between). Make routine decisions and use problem-solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues and/or seek assistance Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows safety regulations. Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.) Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.) Must be able to accurately read a tape measuring tape. (Measuring and cutting materials to specifications) Must be able to perform and remember how to perform multiple tasks from day to day. Must be able to perform the physical requirements listed in that section of this job description. Must look for potential cost savings in the work process, help keep scrap and waste to a minimum, and be efficient in the use of all supplies. Must perform the assigned tasks in a manner in which they meet or exceed the required production level. Work Environment: Ability to work in hot environment: Shop environment with various noise levels and temperatures ranging from hot to cold depending on seasons.
