Bassist with 20+ years exp seeks band and creative outlets

I am an accomplished bass player, millennial age, with a passion for the instrument and experience in songwriting, gigging, recording, studio work, etc. I’m seeking a gigging band who needs a creative bass player for composing, songwriting, gigging, sub work, session work, and/or recording. I’d really like to get back into collaborating and composing music but I am also open to any opportunities playing bass! I have a lot of musical interests including indie rock, pop, punk, soul, R&B, hip-hop, jazz, fusion, funk, reggae, blues, rockabilly, or any kind of music where the rhythm section is key. I don’t play a lot of hard rock, country, or metal music but I am open minded and open to pretty much everything else. I am also an experienced improviser and really enjoy improvisational jamming for brainstorming or just for fun. The best music is made in the flow state. Creatively I’d like to pursue something along the lines of Superorganism or the Flaming Lips, modern funk like Vulfpeck and Anderson Paak, or neo-soul like Solange and Giveon. Ideally looking to collaborate with folks who would like to take our music to as large of an audience as possible. If you’re looking for a collaborating songwriter in any of these areas my interest is piqued! I am LGBTQ and I have a strict no-tolerance policy on hate of any kind. I’m also hoping to collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences to see how our artistic backgrounds can mesh.
