The Ghost Next Door, a signed, established melodic-progressive-alt-doom-metal band in California's greater bay area, seeks a dedicated, talented, dependable drummer. Although we are based in the bay area, we’re advertising in multiple cities across North America in hopes of finding someone local through networking with all of you good people. (Our bassist lives in Portland. Our drummer had to move back to his home-country of France, which is why we're now looking for you, our new drummer.) We are signed with Ripple Music. Our lineup comprises Gary Wendt: guitars, vocals; Aaron Asghari: guitars; Naiya Cominos: ext-range bass. We are wholly dedicated, professional, no-nonsense musicians, who write and perform original material, possess abundant industry contacts—including radio and venue hookups, legal representation, booking agent—and practice in a no-cost rehearsal space that our band-family owns. You: Professional attitude, consistent with parts and material, gear, chops, pocketed groove, high proficiency on drums, heads tuned, solid grasp of polyrhythms and odd time signatures for some songs, and the ability to hit your snare anywhere in the pocket (back, middle, front) depending on the tune / parts. You are a human metronome, but you play with feel. You play song tempos consistently. You can hold it down with our unique elements of metal, doom, prog, melodic, punk, thrash, layered guitars, effects, etc... See the bass as the other half of the rhythm section. You have reliable transportation and a responsible mindset that gets you to rehearsals and gigs well on-time. Desire to succeed and the action to back it up. Willingness and availability to play out-of-town shows and tour short- and hopefully long-term, when things are open enough again. Adaptability for the potential that we are still a band, and we'll still write and perform, whether clubs open back up or not. We currently have shows booked so don't delay.
