Description
We're keeping our 7 year old daughter home again until she's vaccinated. Our normal daycare provider isn't available this fall, and our other provider needs a day a week to shop and do necessary errands. We are looking for someone near our home or work (we both work off Troost, one at 85th, the other at 56th) or who is willing to come to our home. Our ideal setting includes one or two other children near her age, also doing online learning, with parents who are vaccinated and safe.
She has celiac, so we will provide all meals and all snacks. Internet access to complete her online courses is a must, but she should need little to no help. The rest of the week she's with a retired teacher or a parent who teaches, so we can take care of any schoolwork she doesn't complete.
We'd need someone from a bit before 8 am to a little past 4, once to twice a week most weeks. Our kid is very independent and easy to care for, but we need a safe and welcoming place for her to stay with adult supervision, or someone to come here and watch over her. Lunch is provided to someone that comes here, and at least one of us is home for lunch each day, too. We have a TV, internet, and a spare laptop for use while here.
This is ideal for a college student who needs a place to work on their classes and wants some extra cash, a retiree who wants something part-time and low-key, or another parent also keeping their child home. We'll pay daycare rates, which works out to about $40/day, $200/week, and hope to find a place or person that will have a few additional kids. One-on-one isn't needed, having another kid around is preferred as long as it's safe.
Our house does have dogs in the house and poultry in the yard if allergies are an issue but you'd like to work from here. Please email me, and include a phone number and a good time range to contact you. We'll need someone starting around Aug. 26th.
