Description

Hi there, My sister found four kittens but could only take in two because she had too many at that point. I told her I would take the other two until she could find them a home...a year later she still hasn't found anyone to take them in (we do live eight hours from each other), and turns out that I am moving for a job I was offered out of the blue in Cluj, Romania. That's a two hour trip to LAX, 11 hour flight to Munich, 4 hour layover, 2 hours to Cluj and 2 hours to my apartment. I have reached out to shelters, I was hoping I could take them to Idyllwild ARF, but they only take cats from shelters, I have reached out to family and friends, no one's interested or they are pending on rehomeyourpets.com and other similar websites. I leave in two weeks (on the 27th) and I am getting desperate! Let me tell you a little about them. They were born Feb. 2020. Max is an orange and white medium haired Tabby and Miranda is a black and white tuxedo like female medium haired cat. Pros: They are not at all aggressive, I have a six year old and they have never swiped at her. They are not interested in people food at all, so they don't beg. (I've tried to give them Salmon, tuna, turkey meat etc...nothing). They are absolutely litter trained, they have never had an accident. I have had no health issues with them, I have never found a single tick or flea on them, and they are good at taking care of themselves. They are both fixed and chipped (I have the certificates and numbers to prove it). They are indoor/outdoor cats and they can hunt. If you have a mouse problem, these are the cats for you. They really(!) are easy going, they will fit into your lifestyle easily. The first 3-4 days may be hard, but with pets and treats, you will learn to love each other! Cons: I have never given them a vaccination. They can be really shy around new people. If I invite someone into my home, Miranda will be gone half the day. Although they love pets, I haven't been able to train them to be held like a baby (they aren't aggressive about it but they clearly don't like it), so I can pick them up but they aren't too fond of it. These are good cats to have around if you like independent animals who stay out at night and sleep all day. I mean really easy going cats. Miranda can be vocal. She meows for attention, but if you ignore her she'll stop for sure, and mostly I find she does this in the morning. They LOVE toys. They have just discovered cat nip and it is fun to see how much they love those toys. If you have one of those feathers on a string, you're good to go. They are always up for playing when you want. I would love to have them there if I could just poof into Romania, however the environment is very different there for cats. There are a lot of stray dogs, the traveling would be really hard on them, and for the first year or so I will be moving around a lot. Please, please if you can't take them in and I haven't written a suggestion above that you know of, please let me know. I have two weeks to find a solution and these are such nice guys that I really don't want them in a shelter. Even if you have to take them in until another home is provided, even if they have to separate, I just want them to be in a safe home. Thank you for reading this!
