Support our local American Legion in Norwalk! The Norwalk Rotary is hosting a Mini Golf Tournament and Dinner for Charity! Join us for the 3rd Annual Putting for Charity Event on September 16, 2021, a full-fledged miniature golf tournament - except the holes will be shorter so you can reach the green! Tee off with us at 5:30 pm at Cove Miniature Golf, Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk. (Rain date September 30, 2021) Proceeds of the event will benefit the Frank C. Godfrey America Legion Post 12, Norwalk. This special evening includes:  Culinary delights prepared by Ripka’s Café; dinner, dessert, beer, wine and fun!  Golfer Prizes!  Raffle prizes!  A 50/50 drawing!  A great networking opportunity! The American Legion is a nonpartisan, not-for-profit organization with great political influence perpetuated by its grass-roots involvements in the legislation process. Legionnaires' sense of obligation to their community, state and nation drives an honest advocacy for veterans in Washington. The Legion stands not behind politics, but the issues and people that institute progress by focusing on veterans’ rights and quality of life. The Norwalk Rotary Club mission is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders. Projects we have funded include STEM Summer Camp for High School Girls; Family & Children’s Services Camp Scholarships; promote literacy through the distribution of dictionaries to all Norwalk Public Schools’ 3rd Grade Students and provide scholarships to graduates of the Norwalk High Schools.
