The Peekskill Museum is partnering with Assumption Church for a walking tour of one of Peekskill’s most historic and iconic properties. THE Rectory, located at 131 Union Avenue, was the location of the church before moving into it’s current location in the Guardian Building on the corner of South Division Street and 1st Street. This guided walking tour will start at The Peekskill Museum and will include a historical tour of the Assumption grounds, the rectory, church, classrooms and the rooftop garden on the 5th floor with spectacular views of Peekskill. Stick around at the end of the tour to enjoy the view over complimentary refreshments. JOIN tour guide Frank Goderre, Peekskill City Historian, along with Father Esteban of the Assumption Church for this special tour of one of Peekskill’s most important historic landmarks. TOUR participants must be able to walk up stairs. The tour will conclude on the 5th floor roof garden. Participants will sign a release form at check-in. Space is limited, tickets in advance required.
